Financially surviving COVID-19
Money is tight and I don’t know what to do….
The current environment has a lot of people concerned and more than ever people are reaching out asking for help and they are not alone! Whilst the government has put supports in place, these packages don’t help everyone or necessarily supplement what you have lost dollar for dollar.
With so many people out of work and our daily living expenses not changing it is no wonder that people are worried about the future. How will mortgage payments get made? How will you be able to put food on the table, pay the bills and still have money left over?
I am not a financial expert but I do know people who are great in this area – please welcome Cara and Ben Brett from Bounce Financial.Ben has shared some amazing advice in a post “How to survive and thrive financially post Covid“.
If you are struggling or just after some tips to make sure you are making the most of what you do have – I strongly encourage you to read and get in contact with these guys. Some of the tips you may think are basic but let me tell you they make all the differences. Now, more than ever, is a great time to step back and take stock of where your money is going.
As for the non-financial side of things please take things easy. This is a stressful time and no one expects you to be wonder woman and get through this without a melt down or two. It is normal and it is perfectly ok not to have it all together all the time. Don’t be harsh on yourself. Don’t criticise yourself when you are having a bad day.
If it all starts to get too much, please talk to someone. There is no shame in asking for help. Everyone of us has been thrust into this alternate reality where life goes on but not as we know it. If you don’t know where to start you can contact our care guru Gemma and she will be able to listen if that is what you need or refer you to someone who can help if you need a little bit more support.
We are all in this together and more than ever we are here to help as much as we can xx
