In our time helping people through separation and divorce we have lost count of the number of times people have asked us:
- what do they need to do?
- what’s the first thing they should do?
- who is the best person to speak to first?
- do they really need a lawyer?
And that is just a few of the questions.
Separation is not something people ever plan to encounter so when they are confronted with it face to face it can be startling. People can loose all traction of thought and the ability to put one foot in-front of the other can be more difficult then they ever imagined.
But, it does get easier and it doesn’t have to always be difficult. That is why we created our workshops – to show people what steps they need to take but to also give them the opportunity to look, consider and sit with their current circumstance and really examine if separation is the path they want to take.
As the saying goes the grass isn’t necessarily greener on the other side – but that doesn’t mean that it isn’t the right shade of green for them. That is only a decision they can make – we just want them to make it when they have got all of the information in-front of them.
